About
Atlas Pocket started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games and arguing about which ones were worth the storage space. At some point we decided to write the arguments down. That's the whole origin story — no big publisher, no marketing plan, just people who like playing on their phones and want to be useful to others who do the same.
We review a game only after we've actually played it, usually across a few days and on more than one device when we can. A phone game feels completely different depending on your screen size and how much battery you've got left, so we try to note that instead of pretending everyone has the latest flagship.
Games get picked for a few reasons: readers ask about them, they're climbing the charts, or one of us simply can't stop playing and wants to explain why. We try to keep the catalog mixed across genres so it isn't just puzzle after puzzle.
Nobody pays us to write anything here, and we say so plainly. If we liked a game we'll tell you what worked; if it drained our battery in twenty minutes or buried the good bits behind menus, we'll say that too.
